TribX 90 (by AllMax Nutrition): Review

TribX90

Although testosterone supplements target males-only for obvious reasons, a small number of brands target both sexes. This is because testosterone also exists in women, albeit in minuscule quantities. TribX 90 is one of the few supplements that also have women in mind.

TribX 90 also falls into the single-ingredient supplement category that relies on one sole ingredient, tribulus terrestris.

Advertising Claims

  • Supports lean body mass
  • Increases metabolism

Ingredients

  • Tribulus Terrestris (Providing 90% [675 Mg] Furastanolic Saponins Such As Protodioscins, Diosgenins, Flavonoids, And Alkaloids) (750 mg) forms a part of Ayurveda. The roots and fruits of this plant have long been used to promote male vitality and virility. It’s widely acknowledged that tribulus terrestris is a potent libido enhancer, as well as promoting overall wellbeing. Contrary to numerous claims, tribulus terrestris does not increase testosterone.

Is the Marketing Honest?

The first claim seems to suggest that TribX 90 supports lean body mass. I don’t know what makes AllMax Nutrition take this view because repeated studies have failed to find anything of the sort. For instance, this study involving 22 elite rugby players were administered with 450 mg daily over the course of 5 weeks. No apparent changes occurred in terms of muscle strength and body composition.

An altogether different study involving 15 male subjects were administered with 3.21 mg/kg bodyweight for a period of 8 weeks. Researchers didn’t find any improvements in body composition and exercise performance.

Unfortunately for AllMax Nutrition, these 2 studies blow the first claim out of the water pretty quickly.

The second claim suggests that TribX 90 increases metabolism. This also seems to be inaccurate because there hasn’t been much study looking into this idea, and for AllMax to stipulate something without substantiating it is wrong!

Final Verdict

If TribX 90 was marketed differently, as in, instead of claiming it supports lean body mass and it increases testosterone, it stated…it enhances the libido and the sex drive, and then maybe the marketing would be considered to be honest. But it’s not!

Tribulus terrestris has failed to demonstrate any benefits to body composition or metabolism. Moreover, there’s no moneyback guarantee, and there’s certainly no benefit to testosterone.
